Position Summary

As the Administrative Assistant of Sales and Koi Photography, you will be essential in highlighting our stunning koi varieties for our online clientele, ensuring they are precisely depicted on our e-commerce site. This role also requires working closely with the Fish Team on a range of operational tasks, such as fish handling, order fulfillment, and keeping the farm environment well-organized. You will consistently be client-facing, ensuring that you deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all Koi Fish Photography; tasked with capturing high-quality images of diverse koi fish varieties in various sizes, emphasizing clarity, detail, and accurate representation.
  • Upload and oversee all Koi Fish photography on our e-commerce site, making sure everything is well-organized and presented effectively.
  • Act as direct administrative assistant to the Director of Koi Sales and Marketing, including, but not limited to, managing the calendar, taking messages, organizing travel arrangements, and fulfilling other necessary tasks. 
  • Ensure the handling of sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Deliver e-commerce support by regularly maintaining and updating our website listings, ensuring that all koi varieties are accurately represented and descriptions are current. Additionally, assist with eBay listings and manage order fulfillment.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet the needs of the customer and business.
  • Support the care and management of koi, which includes removing fish from tanks when they are sold. Aid in maintaining an organized system for both tanks and different koi varieties.
  • Work closely with the team to guarantee that orders are processed, packed, and shipped in an efficient manner. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels to ensure timely restocking.
  • Remaining eager to learn and adapt to the various processes related to farm operations, fish photography, and e-commerce management. Aim to enhance the farm's sales and boost its reputation in the market.
  • Collaborate closely with the Fish Team and the Director of Koi Sales to facilitate seamless daily operations while supporting farm-wide objectives.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as needed. 

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience of photography; digital photography, specializing in capturing products for e-commerce - A plus!  
  • 1-2 years of experience of Online platforms involving E-Commerce, BigCommerce and eBay 
  • 1-2 years of experience of Administrative Assistant background - Preferred 
  • Basic photo editing and website management skills - A plus! 
  • Organizational skills including the ability to maintain an efficient system for managing the koi fish, tanks and e-commerce listings. 
  • Results-driven, meeting weekly photography KPI/Metrics for Koi, demonstrating a solid history of meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other departments and managers on various tasks to achieve organizational goals.
  • Physical requirement involving the exertion of force up to 50 pounds, including standing, lifting, and walking flights of stairs - Required
  • Consistently demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to carry out job responsibilities in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent - Required 
  • Available for varied weekly shifts including weekends, holidays, peak seasons, open and closings as needed - Required 
  • Familiarity with ponds, aquariums, aquatic plants or fish - a plus!

Position Salary

  • Full-Time | $18.00 - $22.00/ hour
